Foam Pigs:
Foam pigs are an inexpensive and versatile type of pipeline cleaning device. They are lightweight and easy to work with and able to negotiate uncommon piping, fittings, and valves. Sizes range from 2" to 60" standard, with densities of foam ranging from 2-pound, 5-pound, and 8-pound per cubic foot. Standard configurations include bare, criss-cross, wirebrush, plastic bristle, and silicon carbide. A pig style can be identified to best suit your application by reviewing specification sheets found within each product classification. They are used for drying, cleaning, batching, and product removal operations in the oil and gas, municipality, food and beverage, mining, chemical and petrochemical, cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries.

Bare Foam Pigs:
Bare foam pigs are primarily used for drying and sweeping of loose debris, gauging of internal pipe conditions before extensive pigging, sealing behind stuck pig, batching operations, and product removal. Models are available in 2, 5 and 8 pound per cubic foot density. The pig is constructed from an open-cell polyurethane foam with a durable polyurethane elastomer coating on base.

Brush Foam Pigs:
Wirebrush foam pigs are primarily used for cleaning lines with buildup or debris in new construction and routine maintenance. Models are available in 2, 5 and 8 pound per cubic foot density. The pig is constructed from an open-cell polyurethane foam with a durable polyurethane elastomer coating in criss-cross pattern, and equipped with wirebrush straps.

Coated Foam Pigs:
Coated foam pigs are used for regular wiping and general cleaning. Models are available in 2, 5 and 8 pound per cubic foot density. The pig is constructed from an open-cell polyurethane foam with a durable polyurethane elastomer coating in varying patterns.

Foam Spheres:
Foam spheres are available in various styles as with foam pigs, including bare, criss-cross, silicon-carbide, wirebrush and plastic bristle. They are used for the same applications as standard foam pigs, however, they are able to negotiate some piping configurations that standard foam pigs cannot, as well as, being capable of multiple units being stacked in specially designed sphere launcher and mechanically launched.

Foam Wiping Pigs:
The FWP series of foam wiping pigs are an excellent pig for all types of batching and product removal applications. The unique design offers multiple discs and a rear sealing cup for unsurpassed sealing capabilities. The FWP series is also available with brush wraps for cleaning applications.

Plastic Bristle Foam Pigs:
Plastic bristle foam pigs are used for cleaning lines with internal coating or plastic lines (PVC, fiberglass, HDPE). The bristles are aggressive enough to clean most buildups, but not harmful to the internal integrity of the pipe material. Models are available in 2, 5 and 8 pound per cubic foot density. The pig is constructed from an open-cell polyurethane foam with a durable polyurethane elastomer coating in criss-cross pattern, and equipped with plastic bristle straps.

Silicon Carbide Foam Pigs:
Silicon carbide foam pigs are used for cleaning lines with buildup. The abrasive can be in loose grit form or in heavy-duty strap. Models are available in 2, 5 and 8 pound per cubic foot density. The pig is constructed from an open-cell polyurethane foam with a durable polyurethane elastomer coating in criss-cross pattern, and equipped with silicon carbide (loose grit or strap).

Special Design Foam Pigs:
In addition to standard industry-established styles of foam pigs, Pigs Unlimited offers special designs of pigs for better performance and/or special applications.

Various Design Options (Foam):
All foam pigs can be manufactured with various design options including double-dish, double-nose, pulling rope or cable, transmitter or pinger cavity, jetting bypass ports, magnets, and customized diameters, lengths, and other configurations for special pigging applications.
